Meet Michelle {Apples and ABC's}

Hello Freebielicious!!!!  Since Freebielicious is turning 1, we decided that we would all take a day and introduce ourselves.  It has been wonderful being apart of this blog, becoming friends with all of the authors, and using their amazing freebies!

My name is Michelle, this is my 7th year teaching, and I am truly blessed to have a job where I love going to work every day!  This is a picture of me in NYC, I thought it was fitting because I am sitting next to a giant apple. ;)

My blog is Apples and ABC's.  I have been blogging for about 2 years, please come by and visit sometime!

Some of my passions include:  wandering Target, crafting, blogging, spending time with friends and family, getting my nails done, and eating Mexican food.  One of my newer passions over the past year is INSTAGRAM!  I love it because I can connect with teachers throughout the day, see teaching ideas, and share my ideas as well!
 Come find me @applesandabcs

To say the least, I am a LITTLE excited about Christmas coming.  I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but to help you get in the Christmas spirit, I want to share our family Christmas card photo from last year (I don't know if I will hate myself for sharing this picture)!  I ordered these costumes from the Oriental Trading Company, made my family dress up, and spread cheer all over the USA! :)

To stick with the Christmas theme, I made a Christmas countdown freebie for all of you!

There are three printables to choose from.  You can place the printable in a frame and write the number on the glass with a dry erase marker!

Head over to my blog to download it for FREE!

Inspirational Classroom Prints Freebies

School may be back in full swing, but I am still adding little touches to my kindergarten classroom. I have a new obsession with subway art, prints of inspirational quotes, and brightly colored photo frames.

I created these two prints to frame and add a personal touch to my classroom. The first one reminds me that even on the roughest of days, my life is filled to the brim with blessings and I have so much to be thankful for. You can download this "Too Many Blessings to Count!" print for free.

The second print was created for my classroom prayer space. I teach in a Catholic school so prayer is a part of our daily routine. If you teach in a christian school, or just want a copy of this for your home, it is a sweet reminder of God's love for the young students that we teach. This print is also a free download.

Stop by the Kinder-Craze blog to grab these two free printables and see more personal touches in my kindergarten classroom.

I hope you find yourself with too many blessings to count today as well!

School Event Calendar Cards

Teachers aren't the only ones that want to look stylin' for a new school year. Your classroom calendar does too! Give your calendar some fresh new accessories while reminding students of upcoming days and events with Events at School Calendar Reminder Cards. Each card in the set is a 2.5" square featuring typical school changes in routine: early dismissal, no school, assembly, guest teacher (substitute), testing and more!

Young students need visual reminders of upcoming events and displaying the reminder cards in your circle time space will help students remember upcoming changes in schedule (so hopefully they can remind their parents!)

Footprint Poem

Hello Freebielicious friends!

I know you are starting to gear up for another great year and I want to give you a little something that will help you and your kiddos get off on the right "foot" this year!

It's a little footprint poem that goes on the floor in the entryway of your classroom. Parents and kiddos love reading this poem on their way into the classroom on the first day or at "Meet the Teacher"..... it lets them know how excited you are to see them and gets them ready for a successful year ahead! What a great ice breaker!

I originally discovered this poem/idea on the site, Little Giraffes (an amazing resource) years ago and have used it ever since! I just made it all cute and ready to print for you guys!

Grab yours HERE!

I hope you enjoy as much as I have over the years!
