Hi Freebielious fans.
Since FL is turning ONE year old, all the authors are taking turns introducing ourselves to you guys.
This blog is our baby. We have been feeding it, changing its diaper, and watching it grow over the past year. I am so proud to be a part of this blog because I know how important it is for teachers to get free ideas and items for their classrooms. You guys deserve it!
My name is Mary from Sharing Kindergarten.
I am so blessed to teach Kindergarten, the absolute BEST grade in the whole world.
I love the age of my loves {students} and I love the concepts I teach. But most importantly, I love to make learning FUN in my classroom.
I am a wife.
I have been married for 10 years to my best friend. Hubs is super supportive of me in every venture. He knows that whatever random item he can't find at our house has indeed found its way to my classroom. He also knows to buy me children's books and school supplies for Christmas.
I am a mom.
We had our first child "S" almost 5 years ago. She was our true miracle. We prayed for her for years and years. Hubs and I knew our world was complete. Our hearts were full.
Then, when S was three she inform hubs and myself that God was going to give her a baby sister when she was four. {Umm... what!?!} She told us almost daily for months and months. We told her she wasn't going to have any brothers or sister, but she confidently said, "Not yet. I am not four yet. I will have a sister when I am four."
And this summer, our family of three became a family of four when our second daughter "E" was born.{And yes, it happened when S was four!}
I am a Disney fan.
My family goes to Disney a lot... more than a lot. We love the happiest place on Earth!
I am a technology fan.
I have my Specialist degree in Instructional Technology and strive to enrich my classroom with technology whenever possible. Many of my units include technology aspects as well to make it easier for others to use technology in their classroom. I LOVE using iPads in the classroom. I present at conferences on using technology in the classroom. Training teachers to use devices is a passion of mine.
As a matter of fact, I have a techie freebie to share with you guys, using a Thanksgiving theme.
This is a sure fire way to make your students more independent at computers and let's them engaged in themed activities.
You grab this freebie sheet by clicking on the image or {here} to download it.
Put it on your computer.
Open the file and select "view in full screen mode."
Your students are locked into this screen for centers. They select the premade links to "play" activities during centers.
You exit the screen at the end of computers using the esc key.
Thanks for being a fan of Freebielious and thanks for being an educator.
The world needs more people like you!
